What we do

Dufferin Research specializes in online survey programming and the hosting of both standalone custom research projects and continuous tracking studies. Established in 2000 to provide these specialized services to smaller Market Research firms and consultants, Dufferin Research now deals with several large national and international research organizations, corporate direct research buyers and users, in addition to many smaller firms.

Internet data collection

Many recent studies have shown that Internet data collection is the fastest growing data collection method in the industry. The methodological debates about the merit of internet collection for quantitative studies are, for the most part, settled among users of survey data. It is a sound data collection method, capable of extreme complexity in design & logic, and is executed quicker and for less cost than other methods like CATI, face-to-face or mail studies. The survey process

Most surveys are launched transparently either from a website as an intercept or by unique URL sent via email. Surveys invitations by email can use either client-supplied addresses or purchased panel sample from reputable providers. As a mass purchaser of panel sample, we manage the RFQ process between sample suppliers and pass on the discounted costs to our clients.

Deliverables

Clients are provided with an secure password login interface for each project that uses a 128-bit encryption to protect confidential information. Interim frequencies and call disposition reports for most studies are automatically updated hourly 24x7 during the data collection period. At the end of the field period, we supply the raw data in TSV, Excel or SPSS formats and if desired provide full cross-tabulated results based on your tabulation specifications. Tabulated output is supplied electronically in your choice of text, MS Word or PDF formats
