I'm at the tail end of the boomer generation, and still trying to wrap my head around how we got from there to here.
That would make a good subject for a book actually, how about "From Yasgur's Farm to Facebook: 40 years of social evolution" (note evolution not revolution)

How did we get from social upheaval in mainstream society to the current upheaval leading towards a more digital society?
It really is a testament to the "power of the peopl" to make things happen in analogue or digital form and I think a demonstration of democracy in action.
Radical social thought is now mainstream. Go figure.
