The project would deploy Metro WiFi Internet zones in three partner municipalities in Serbia, namely Zlatibor, Cacak and Arandjelovac. A single wi-fi login would cover all zones and the service would be free of charge to all users. The idea is to drive economic development through free access to online services, attract a greater number of tourists using the theme of an end to end connected vacation, and also expand e-government services in the regions.

Dufferin Research as project coordinator would manage the project and conduct pre & post pilot economic analysis of the three regions, conduct a programme evaluation as well as help organize the follow-up conference to disseminate the results to municipalities in Serbia and throughout Eastern Europe. It is planned to be held in the Szeged, Hungary.

Dufferin applied in May for this project.
